This Privacy Policy explains, at a high level, how CauseTrack handles personal and organisational information when you use the app.

1. Data you provide

CauseTrack stores information you and your organisation enter into the product, such as incident reports, investigation details, corrective actions, and basic account information. This data is used only to provide the service to your organisation.

Depending on your use, this may include names, work email addresses, role assignments, uploaded files, and audit log records of in-app activity.

2. Infrastructure and providers

CauseTrack uses third-party providers to run core features, including authentication (Clerk), database hosting, file storage, email delivery, error monitoring, and payment processing for paid plans. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.

3. Billing and payment data

Subscription checkout and recurring billing are handled by our payment provider(s). CauseTrack does not store full payment card details on its own application servers.

4. How organisations control their data

Each organisation that uses CauseTrack controls its own data and is responsible for what information is entered into the system. If you have questions about the data stored in CauseTrack for your organisation, please contact your organisation's administrator.

5. Security and retention

CauseTrack uses standard technical measures to help protect stored data, including access controls and audit logging. Data retention is driven by your organisation's use of the product and any applicable legal or regulatory requirements that apply to your organisation.

6. Access and correction requests

If you are an end user of an organisation account, requests to access, correct, or delete data should usually be made through your organisation administrator first.
